This Journey is an extension of the full day tour to Argolis providing a more leisurely trip with an overnight stay in Nafplio.

In this tour we are going to visit the Venetial Fortress of Palamidi crowing the city of Nafplio or alternatively we can go swimming .

Finally a wonderful walk to the old city with its neoclassic houses an picturesque streets is a must!

Day 1: Leave Athens early in the morning to the Corinth Canal via the coastal highway. After, a quick stop at the Corinth Canal for pictures then we are on to Ancient Corinth.
Then, We proceed to Epidaurus and visit the Ancient Theatre. Proceed to the pretty town of Nafplio (lunch and overnight), where you will have the afternoon free for a visit to the Venetian fortress of Palamidi. Alternatively, you can use the free time to wonder around the old streets of Nafplio or even go swimming.

Overnight stay in Nafplio.

Day 1: Leave of Athens early in the morning to the Corinth Canal via the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf. Quick stop to take pictures and  then we are on to Epidaurus visiting this Ancient Epidaurus Theatre. Then through the plain of Argos on to Mycenae. Visiting the Archaeological site – the Lion Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the Palace and the tomb of Agamemnon. Leave in the afternoon via Tripoli – Megalopolis to Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games. Overnight and dinner in Olympia.

Day 1: Depart from Athens for a short stop to Corinth Canal and then on to visit Ancient Corinth. Proceed to Mycenae and the tomb of Agamemnon . After lunch proceed to Epidaurus theater. From there we will go to Nafplio the first capital of Greece. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning visit of Palamidi Castle. You can then spend some time in Nafplio or visit Argos. Then depart for Olympia through the central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Dinner and overnight stay
Day 3: In the morning visit the archaeological site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient stadium and the archaeological museum. Then drive on through the plains of Ilia and Achaia and over the magnificent cable stayed bridge which crosses the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: In the morning visit the archaeological site and the Delphi museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing rock formations of Meteora. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Visit Meteora. Amidst striking scenery, perched on huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless monasteries where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (visit the monument of Leonidas). Arrive in Athens early in the evening.
